On 1 September 2020, DKV Euro Service will start the pilot phase for its toll boxes in Italy.

After completion of the approximately three-month productive pilot phase with up to 3,000 test boxes, the mobility service provider will be the first certified provider of its own toll boxes for Italian motorways. Already, the Italian motorway operators had given their approval in advance. DKV BOX ITALIA is to be approved first, followed by DKV BOX EUROPE in the near future.

With this step, we are opening up the Italian toll market and can offer our customers our own on-board units for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes as the first certified provider,” explained Jérôme Lejeune, Managing Director Toll at DKV Euro Service. “We would like to thank the Association of Italian Motorway Operators, AISCAT, and look forward to a successful cooperation“.

The Italian toll stations were upgraded with the necessary software and hardware for the use of DKV toll boxes. Specially marked toll lanes indicate to the driver on which lane the DKV BOX ITALIA and, in future, also the DKV BOX EUROPE can be used. Further information is available at www.dkv-euroservice.com
