New Volvo B8R/Plaxton Leopard for O’Grady Coaches

Santry, County Dublin based O’Grady Coaches has taken delivery of a Volvo Plaxton Leopard for the coming season – A sure sign that confidence is returning to the market and an expectation that things may be returning to some level of normality, albeit slowly.

The specification on the new Volvo B8R/Plaxton Leopard includes:

  • Volvo D8K 350 6cyl 7.7 litre Euro 6D engine rated at 350hp@2200 rpm with maximum torque of 1400Nm at 1200-1600rpm.
  • Engine emission control uses SCR, EGR, DPF and DOC technology. 
  • One piece 7.8mm laminated glass front screen, direct glazed.
  • Double glazed toughened side glass. Double glazed driver’s signalling window with motorised heated sliding glass.
  • Inswing entrance door with deep double glazed window maximising visibility.
  • Thermo King X700 climate control system.
  • Volvo AT2412E I-Shift fully automated 12-speed gearbox with hydraulic retarder.
  • Optional ZF Ecolife 6AP1400B 6 speed automatic hydraulic transmission available with integral retarder.
  • Framework constructed of 12% chrome steel.
  • Composite main side panels bonded and mechanically fixed to the structure.
  • Locker panels in aluminium. 10m3 approx luggage capacity.
  • Grammer MSG90.3 air-suspension driver seat with integral headrest and three point seat belt.
  • Courier seat – Compact folding crew seat with three point seat belt trimmed to match passenger seats.
  • Bosch combined Radio/CD and PA system with driver and courier microphones.
  • 57 Brusa Extend 100 reclining seats, three point seat belts, trimmed in Kneitz/Camira moquette. Also available as 59 seat layout.
  • EBS (Electronic Braking System) featuring ABS and ASR functions (Anti-lock and Anti-slip). ESP (Electronic Stability Programme).
  • Driver Support System including Collision Warning Emergency Braking System (CWEB). Lane Keeping Support system (LKS).
  • Knock back exterior mirrors with additional cross view mirrors. Electrically heated main mirrors.
  • Heating provided by roof mounted climate control system. Driver controlled ventilation system.
  • LED exterior lighting. Halogen headlights. LED full length saloon lighting. Reverse alarm with manual override.
  • Altro walkway safety flooring. Microtrim to body, side, ceiling and luggage racks. Luxury parcel racks.
  • Pleated curtains to side and rear windows. First aid kit and fire extinguisher.
  • Steel wheels (8.25″ x 22.5″). Tyre size (295/80 R22.5).
