The Coach Tourism & Transport Council (CTTC) teamed up with the International Bus/Coach of the Year Jury’s Bus Euro Test, held around Limerick, to launch an original initiative. Along with the event organisers, Fleet Bus & Coach magazine, they commissioned a postcard with a stunning view of Limerick city, with two examples of same presented to all of the visiting delegates. Stamped and ready to post, the delegates sent them to their friends and relatives in their own countries, with an open invitation to visit Ireland and the Limerick region in the future for business or holiday.

At the launch of the initiative, CTTC Vice-Chair Willie Martin, while addressing the delegates, said: “We hope that you all have had such a wonderful experience here that you will be confident enough to invite others from your own country to come here.”

Mayor of Limerick & County, Daniel Butler complimented the CTTC on their initiative, saying that he would send the cards to some of his friends and relatives living abroad, inviting them to visit Limerick. He further complimented the CTTC on the way they continue to build up the numbers visiting Ireland.
