Coach travel is an inclusive, sustainable, environmentally friendly travel option that reduces air pollution, carbon emissions and road congestion.
A Coach operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it can deliver flexible and fast emergency responses and coach tourism contributes a huge £14 billion each year to the economy, delivering vital footfall to attractions across the UK & Ireland and carrying spectators to concerts, festivals and sporting events. That’s the positive argument from the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) in a statement recently.
“We are delighted to launch the Coach Strategy, the industry’s first official strategy outlining vital role of coach in UK society and how, with Government support, the industry can thrive and play its full part in the economic and green recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. We have an exclusive event for CPT members taking place on 20 April, with panellists including Roads Minister Baroness Vere and Tourism Minister Nigel Huddleston,” it said.
