Operating in the foothills of Ben Nevis in Fort William, Shiel Buses is a family owned Scottish operator with over 40 years of experience in the bus and coach industry. The company operates school and service contracts as well as offering individual bus and coach tours in the West Lochaber area and beyond.

With a modern fleet of 48 vehicles of all sizes, most of which are PSVAR-compliant, Shiel Buses can cater for every occasion.  With its latest order placed for another Tourismo with EvoBus Mercedes-Benz UK, David MacGillivray, Director at the firm explained: “The driver and passenger feedback on the Tourismo has been really positive since we bought two in 2018. Both Tourismos were purchased initially for our Citylink contract, which runs from Skye and Fort William in the Scottish Highlands to Glasgow and back – this high mileage and arduous route has highlighted an impressive return on fuel economy, vehicle handling and reliability. The vehicle build quality coupled with the new safety features on the new Tourismo coach such as, the front collision guard enhances the vehicle substantially. The support received by the aftersales team together with the Tourismo’s performance from 2018 has made the decision to purchase another Tourismo in 2020 an easy one.”
