In offering sympathies to the bereaved families, John Halpenny, Chairman of the Coach Tourism & Transport Council of Ireland (CTTC) said a wealth of experience has gone with the passing of Cora Collins, Collins Coaches, Ardee and Bobby O’Leary, Ardcaven Coaches Wexford. “Both have given lifelong service to the industry. We offer our sincere condolences to their family, relatives and friends.”
Feargal Barton, Barton’s Transport, former Chairman of CTTC, paid this tribute to Cora Collins: “It was with great sadness I heard about Cora’s passing. During my time as CTTC Chairman I worked with Cora very closely. We attended meetings with many Politicians and Boards as she worked tirelessly on behalf of the CTTC and the Private Coach sector in Ireland. She was an exceptional lady and her knowledge of every part of the industry was remarkable. Her attention to detail and her never wavering determination to get the job done on behalf of the coach operators of Ireland was evident to everyone who worked with her. Her loss to the industry and of course to her sons Brendan and Danny and her grandchildren is immense. May she rest in peace.”
